Rescue Committee (IRC)
Uganda
livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and
gain control of their future. It was created by Albert Einstein more than 80
years and has been working in Uganda since 1998. It has particularly working in
the conflict zones where tens of thousands of people have been kills and over
1.6 million displaced. Following a peace agreement in 2006, Ugandans are
returning home and looking to rebuild their lives. The IRC is there to protect
women and children from violence and exploitation by fostering a safe
environment and encouraging education, and is supporting farmers and small
businesses, and helping communities promote peace and long-term development.
Under the guidance of the HR/Admin Manager,
participate in recruitment process for local recruitments as required and
ensure HR recruitment policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Work in close coordination with the HR/Admin
Manager and the Field Manager, facilitate the integration/transition processes
to assure new and transferred staff to Karamoja received required information
for their integration.
The jobholder will coordinate the onboarding of
all new staff and provide receive IRC Way orientation and related
documentation.
Provide support in responding to employee
inquiries regarding salary and benefit.
Act as focal point to receive staff concerns
about their compensation and benefits and provide timely feedback to HR/Admin
Manager about staff all staff concerns related to their compensation and
benefits.
Facilitate and provide guidance for resolving
minor employee relations issues in the field office.
Send feedback to the HR/Admin Manager with
information of any employee relation issues occurring in the field.
Build and strengthen working relationships
between labor/social services and IRC staff.
Coordinate the process of staff providing
timesheets on time and send to the Kampala Office.
Keenly track and monitor staff are taking their
leave in accordance to IRC regulations.
Communicate any staff welfare concerns to
HR/Admin Manager and Field Manager on a timely basis.
Monitor offices are cleaned on a regular basis.
Keenly track and Monitor office supplies on a
regular basis.
Provide staff tea and water to staff during office
hours.
Submit regularly as required, information to
HR/Admin Manager for HR Metrics preparation.
Submit regularly payroll information to the
HR/Admin Manager on a monthly basis as required.
Update and submit regularly staff leave
tracking.
Submit weekly and monthly recruitment reports.
Update and maintain proper records for all
correspondences.
Coordinate and monitor shared activities between
HR, Administration and Supply Chain in Karamoja Field office.
Maintain proper records for all correspondences.
Maintain compliance of administrative policies
and procedures with IRC standards and local law in Karamoja field office.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned (of a
similar nature or related and in the interest of the organization)
Experience: The applicant should preferably hold any qualifications in
related fields
