Supervisor will manage the various machine maintenance repairs, electrical
installations, motor vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs, plumbing
requirements, plant and grounds maintenance, spare parts acquisition and
inventory among other aspects to be encountered in the day to day operations of
the factory/plant. The jobholder will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in
the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The incumbent
will be in charge of planning the maintenance in electrical, plumbing,
mechanical, and related systems. The jobholder also carries out mechanical
interventions request of employees and other duties as required.
Manage
and supervise properly the maintenance personnel
Attend
to trouble shooting as well as any plant and equipment breakdown efficiently
with minimum downtime.
Source
and look for relevant spare parts as well as managing stock of spare parts and
ensuring buffer stock is available at all times for consumables.
Work on
preventative maintenance schedule and ensure same is executed and documented
properly.
Responsible
for the general maintenance of factory and building /yard according to ISO
Standards.
Work
closely with relevant subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best possible
quote/deal for the company.
Responsible
for the proper maintenance and servicing of all company vehicles and
delivery trucks.
Keep up
to date with latest technology and developments in the meat industry and
advise Top Management accordingly.
Interact
efficiently with all relevant departments i.e. Production/ Quality/
Procurement/ Sales/ Delivery/ Finance) with proper effective communication.
Experience:
The applicant
must hold a Diploma in mechanical engineering or any other related field from
an accredited institution.
A minimum
of five years of apprenticeship/experience in the area of mechanical repairs,
electrical, plumbing under a factory setting.
Thorough
knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions
necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
Ability
to work beyond normal working hours as required.
