Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Documentation:
·        
Ensure shipment documents are in order.      
·        
Guide clients on any other additional
documents.      
·        
Ensure timely follow-ups of shipment
payments.      
·        
Tasked with the preparation of proforma invoices
in liaison with accounts department.
·        
Ensure all closed files have the right
documents.  
Declaration:
·        
Timely lodging of shipment duty entries using
Asycuda system.     
·        
Timely lodging of import and export
permits.     
·        
Timely payments of duties.      
·        
Zero errors on all declarations.     
·        
Zero penalties on declarations.   
Operations Management:
·        
Tasked with physical verification of shipments
in comparison to the original documents.      
Ensure timely release of shipments by customs officer.      
·        
Resolve any queries from the custom
officers      
·        
Adhere to set verification procedure and
requirements for all shipments      
·        
Cargo delivery to clients on time as agreed and
in good condition.      
·        
Zero damages on all shipments.      
·        
Zero penalties, fines, alterations fees and
offences      
·        
Zero shipment additional costs by clients and
company.      
·        
Proper management of bonds and cancellation of
same.      
·        
Use of company system (ERP) in job cards
updates.  
Reports:
·        
Submission of weekly and monthly operations
reports      
·        
Perform any other duty assigned by your
supervisor.
Key Performance Indicators:
·        
Timely management of declarations
·        
Timely and correct processing of all entries to
avoid penalties and cancellations
·        
Timely bond cancellation.
·        
Submission of weekly declaration report on all
shipments handled and any challenges encountered.
·        
Timely submission of weekly reports.
·        
Zero penalties.
·        
Ensure all shipments comply with the government
regulations.
·        
Ensure shipments are cleared within the
specified time frames.
·        
Execute high levels of integrity while performing
day-to-day duties  



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should hold a Diploma or
Certificate in Clearing & Forwarding. EACFFPC certification a must.
·        
At least two years of relevant experience.
·        
Working knowledge in shipping & logistics an
added advantage.
·        
Conversant with customs clearance procedures.
·        
Conversant with ASYCUDA System is mandatory
·        
Proficient in Ms. Word & Excel workbooks.
·        
Conversant with the Customs Procedures
·        
Hold a clean and valid driving license.
·        
Excellent communication written and verbal.
·        
Good team player
·        
High degree of integrity
·        
Ability to work with minimal supervision
