in Central and Western Uganda over the next five years. The Project will
improve the health, nutrition, education and psychosocial wellbeing of
vulnerable populations, as well as reduce abuse, exploitation and neglect to a
minimum of 625,000 children and 101,500 households in 17 districts in central
and western Uganda. The program will
improve outcomes for vulnerable children and youth by strengthening the systems
that surround them; caregivers will have greater economic opportunities, which
will increase their resilience and make them less susceptible to shocks; local
government structures and CSOs will be strengthened to provide services
targeting the diverse needs of vulnerable children, and health and social
service agencies will strengthen their coordination and referral systems to
provide integrated care along the continuum of response. The Project is being
implemented by a consortium of partner consisting of CRS being the lead,
Futures Group, ACODEV, Palladium, ANPPCAN and TPO.
Overseeing SOCY Project M&E functions
&Supervising Data Clerks of IPs in the district of operation;
Ensure SOCY CSOs and District sites compile and
submit reports to the National systems;
Actively participate in development and/or
administering of SOCY M&E tools across three result areas;
Take part in district and activity performance
review/sharing and feedback meetings;
Provide support, mentor and provide guidance to
SOCY sub-granted CSOs, District and sub-county sites in the areas of Data
Demand & Use (DDU)or documentation and reporting;
Prepare, Organise, check and sort data collected
by CSO staff for timely entry into the SOCY-MIS, in collaboration with the Data
Clerks; producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
Participate in on-site data management at SQCY
sub-granted CSO offices, District and sub-county offices; Participating in
Quality Improvement (Ql) activities including monitoring activities of
sub-granted CSOs.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the ACODEV USAID SOCY
Project Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant job placement should preferably
hold a Bachelor’s Degree i.e. BSc (Econ), BSc (Stat), B. Quantitative
Economics, B. Population Studies or any other relevant degree;
At least two years’ experience in monitoring and
evaluation of OVC related projects, with National and international NGO;
Previous exposure and experience in: field data
collection, entry and analysis; database management and report generation;
High degree of flexibility and adapting to
changing priorities and critical deadlines.
Good analytical and research skills;
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills.
