Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth (SOCY) Project
Limited by guarantee operating in 10 Districts of Ankole Region. It is aimed at
poverty reduction in the communities by provision of social Economic
Development Services in the community.
Youth (SOCY) project targeting Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Bushenyi and
Ntungamo Districts, funded by the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID) through Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The SOCY project
interventions shall be focusing primarily on OVC Case Management and household
economic strengthening through savings groups and associated interventions and
parenting/caregiver programs.
Supervisor will be responsible for conducting post-training supervision and
mentoring of the Field agents to ensure proper mentorship of the SILC groups by
the Field Agents. The incumbent will identify ways to improve performance and
management of groups by the Field Agents. He/she will work under the direct
supervision of the Project Manager (or designate), especially in areas of
planning and coordination of field activities and reporting. He/she will ensure
that the SILC Field Agents (FAs) meet their targets, attend group meetings as
and when they are required, collect data from the field and submit the same
without delay.
Responsibilities:
Mentor, train and supervise maximum 6 Field
Agents
Conduct refresher trainings for field agents
Tasked with data collection
Provide oversight to SILC implementation and
quality control.
Perform any other job-related duties that may be
assigned by the supervisor
Experience:
The applicant must hold a Diploma in social work
and Social Administration, Development studies, Social Sciences, business
related courses, gender studies from a reputable institution.
A minimum of three years’ experience working
with saving groups like VSLA, SILC, saving for change projects.
Somebody from gender main streaming and women
empowerment background is greatly desired.
A valid riding permit is a must
Age: Between 23-35 years
