American founded NGO working in Masindi to provide affordable medical services
to the community. In line with its sustainable model, OneWorld Health is
opening a third clinic at Kijunjubwa in Kimengo Sub-county to provide quality
health care to the community. The
facility will offer Outpatient services. Kijunjubwa is 30Km from Masindi along
the Masindi–Ngooma Road.
Midwife/ Sonographer will carry out radiographic imaging for diagnosis, treatment
and management of patients. The incumbent will provide midwifery nursing
services and public health interventions to patients and the community.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out radiographic imaging and submit
reports to Clinician.
Referring cases needing specialized imaging to
bigger centres.
Ensuring that equipment is secure, functional
and well maintained.
Requisitioning for equipment and necessary
supplies for radiographic activities.
Receiving patients, registering admissions,
discharges and deaths.
Carrying out antenatal care with emphasis on
identifying high risk cases.
Providing care during labor with emphasis on
keeping proper records, use of drugs and prevention of complications to the
mother and baby.
Providing care during puerperim with emphasis on
prevention of infection and ensure successful breast feeding.
Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
Keeping patients comfortable and ensuring a
healthy environment.
Participating in research activities and
attending CMEs.
Imparting knowledge and skills to other staff.
Adhering to Professional Code of Conduct &
Ethics.
Compiling and submitting reports.
Quality midwifery services for patients
provided.
High risk cases identified & reported.
Patients for radiographic imaging prepared.
Radiographic imaging carried out and reports
submitted to Clinician.
Quality of radiographic imaging ensured.
Patients needing specialized imaging referred.
Accountability for all resources provided.
Daily reports submitted.
Experience:
The applicant must be a trained Registered
Midwife from a recognized Institution.
Must be trained in Sonography and registered
with the relevant professional body.
At least five years’ experience in Midwifery and
Sonography preferably in a busy centre.
Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives
Council.
