in Central and Western Uganda over the next five years. The Project will
improve the health, nutrition, education and psychosocial wellbeing of
vulnerable populations, as well as reduce abuse, exploitation and neglect to a
minimum of 625,000 children and 101,500 households in 17 districts in central and
western Uganda. The program will improve
outcomes for vulnerable children and youth by strengthening the systems that
surround them; caregivers will have greater economic opportunities, which will
increase their resilience and make them less susceptible to shocks; local
government structures and CSOs will be strengthened to provide services
targeting the diverse needs of vulnerable children, and health and social
service agencies will strengthen their coordination and referral systems to
provide integrated care along the continuum of response. The Project is being
implemented by a consortium of partner consisting of CRS being the lead,
Futures Group, ACODEV, Palladium, ANPPCAN and TPO.
The Data Clerk will work in liaison with partner
CSO Social workers to ensure routine cleaning of the Home Visit Tools from the
Para-social workers;
The jobholder will also ensure completeness and
accuracy of various project data collection/capture tools like: referral forms
and service registers;
Carrying out weekly visits to CSO Offices in the
district to enter project data into the SOCY- MIS;
Tasked with ensuring regular updates of the
SOCY-MIS by uploading newly entered data to the online database; supporting CSO
Social Workers to keep proper custody of household/case files and maintaining
order filing of various tools in the Household Files;
Providing support in the process of verifying
the data to be reported into the SOCY-MIS; attending to details i.e.
identifying and appropriately dealing with data quality issues with the various
tools
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the ACODEV USAID SOCY
Project Data Clerk job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree: B.
Stat, BSc (Econ), BSc (Stat), B. Quantitative Economics, B. Population Studies
or any other relevant degree;
At least two years’ experience in carrying out
similar work in a national or international NGO setting;
Highly analytical skills;
High degree of flexibility and ability to adapt
to pressures and critical deadlines with minimal supervision
