Technical Audit Manager
Parliament; The Uganda National Authority Act, No. 15 of 2006. UNRA became
operational on 1st July 2008. The
mandate of UNRA is to develop and maintain the national roads network, advise
Government on general roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport
concerns, among others.
Auditor will be responsible for conducting technical audits on designs,
procurement, supervision services, construction and maintenance works for roads
and bridges and any other engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Profile potential risks for planned audit
areas to guide on the risk based audit activities; - Draft audit plans for specified audit
activities; - Implement risk based technical internal
audit assignments in line with departmental work plan and relevant audit
standards; - Document results of the audits and make
appropriate recommendations within the set timelines; - Coordinate with the risk management and
compliance units the organization’s risk assessment; - Draft audit reports highlighting areas of
improvement and make respective recommendations; - Perform any other duties as assigned to
you.
Experience:
- The applicant for the UNRA Senior
Technical Auditor career opportunity should hold an Honors Degree in Civil
Engineering, Highway engineering or; - A Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from
a recognized institution with a Master’s Degree; - For those with a Bachelor’s Degree, a
Master’s Degree in a related field and other post graduate qualifications
in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering or other relevant field will be
an added advantage; - Registration with the professional
Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or its equivalent in the Commonwealth
will be an added advantage; - Possession of certification such as a CPA,
ACCA will an added advantage; - At least three years of auditing
experience in a large organization; - Computer literacy skills
- Demonstrated working experience in the
internal audit of an organization/business unit with diverse professions. - High level of integrity;
- Ability to work as part of a team and to
develop subordinates; - Excellent interpersonal, particularly
staff/management relations, oral and written communication skills; - Strategic thinking and ability to work and
produce accurate results in an environment with multiple and challenging
tasks.
