Action for Rural Women’s Empowerment (ARUWE) is a non-profit,
Non-Government Organization working with marginalized groups of people, especially
rural women and children in Uganda. ARUWE registered as an NGO in 2008.
About Comic Relief Project:
ARUWE has received financing from Comic Relief through Emerge Poverty
Free (EPF) toward the cost of Transform and empower the lives of 900 subsistence
farming families in rural Uganda project. The project aims at increasing
farmers’ productivity, improving farmers’ household income, assets, and land
resources, improving farmer households’ food security and improving rural women
farmers’ experience, financial empowerment and decision making.
Job Summary: The M&E
Manager/ Officer will provide technical support and oversight to ensure
monitoring and evaluation excellence of the organisation and the project.
He/She will ensure that the implementation of monitoring and evaluation
activities is in line with the project’s implementation plan and meets the
donor and project’s M&E needs. Provide technical support to farmers groups
in ensuring that programmatic data/indicators are accurately captured, and reported
according to set guidelines. The jobholder will work in liaison with the
Project Managers and Project Director to ensure that monitoring and evaluation
activities are conducted appropriately to meet the donor and project’s M&E
needs.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The ideal candidate for this career opportunity
should hold a University degree in any of the following related field:
Community Development, development studies, sociology, and Social sciences,
Statistics, Demography and related fields.
·        
Possession of post graduate training in M&E
is an added advantage.
·        
A minimum of three years’ experience in
Monitoring and Evaluation in livelihood, WASH and health related fields and
programs in developing countries
·        
Previous experience with international donor
funded programs is desirable.
·        
Excellent organization and time management
skills and strong attention to detail
·        
Excellent writing and communications skills in
English language are required.
·        
Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word
processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point).
·        
Prior exposure and experience with database
development and management and statistical analysis software (SPSS, EPI- INFO,
STATA, SAS or similar) is highly desirable.
