program is anchored on three broad themes deliberately focused on Women’s
Rights: Resilient Livelihoods, Governance and Accountability and Humanitarian
Preparedness and Response.
Resource and Organizational Development Manager will mainly be responsible for
providing strategic leadership, develop, advise on and implement the full range
of Human Resource/OD strategies necessary to support effective people
management. The role includes overseeing application and implementation of
Oxfam’s people strategies, policies, procedures and processes through ways of
working, including ongoing communication and collaboration with Country
Management Team, Management Review Team, Programme, and Support staff; to
ensure that the Human Resource function contributes to and is aligned to the
Country’s strategic goals; lead on the development and implementation of
various organizational development strategies, structures, policies,
procedures, processes, and systems that enable Oxfam deliver on its Programme
commitments; serve as a strategic business partner to management by providing
direction and guidance on human resource and organizational development
matters; develop a long-term HR plan that is aligned to Oxfam’s employee
resourcing strategy; lead the development of a talent strategy to ensure the
identification, acquisition, development and retention of key talent to meet
the current and future needs of Oxfam, and developing approaches to address
these and implement Oxfam’s established systems for performance management and
reward.
Experience:
The applicant for the Oxfam Human Resource and
Organizational Development Manager job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s Substantial
knowledge and substantial experience of Human Resources and OD in all its
aspects, systems and modem practices, including professional qualification in
Human Resources Management;
Broad knowledge of the concepts of national and
East Africa Community employment laws; experience as a senior business advisor
towards management on strategic HR including change management and
Organizational Development;
Ability to provide leadership and direction at
the same time and balancing the strategic role with the need to deliver
effective day-to-day people services.
Previous experience in an administrative HR
role;
Excellent written and verbal communication and
advisory skills, accurate, just, analytical; convincing and influencing skills;
Good people management skills and flexibility to
travel to program field areas.
