Education Services (AKES)
and advanced educational programmes that provide quality pre-school, primary,
secondary, and higher secondary education services to students in Pakistan,
India, Bangladesh, Kenya, the Kyrgyz Republic, Uganda, Tanzania, and
Tajikistan.
Teacher will have overall responsibility for all matters related to the school
and will be the final sign-off at the school level on all financial, hiring,
admissions, discipline, evaluation and academic matters before submission to
Head Office. The Head Teacher will be a visionary leader who will exercise an
ethical and moral leadership to develop the school into a School of Choice in
Uganda, improving the positioning of the school in the market by enhancing
academic, co-curricular, sports and leadership programmes as well as developing
a school culture that emphasizes ethics and values, pluralism, spirituality and
excellence.
Responsibilities:
Provide executive leadership by building a
high-performance, culturally diverse team, committed to achieving the vision of
the school.
School management; to manage the school
efficiently and effectively by ensuring compliance in curriculum systems; staff
management appraisal; compensation and professional development; students’
discipline and holistic education; budget and finance; parental & community
relations; school operations among others.
Provide policy guidance on relevant issues
regarding AKES,U and abide by the Code of Conduct, Standard and Quality control
of AKDN and AKES,U.
Experience:
The applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or other
relevant degree + PGDE. Masters degree in Education from a reputable,
accredited university is an added advantage.
experience as a Deputy Head or Head teacher in a
reputable primary school.
Good
track record in the effective and efficient management of fiscal and human
resources.
Experience
in leading primary schools and being knowledgeable in instructional best
practices and contemporary trends in education.
Excellent
team-building skills, with proven experience in leading, motivating and
empowering both staff and students.
Demonstrates
accountability and integrity and understands the needs of a diverse learning
community.
