on poverty alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The
organization implements integrated development approach combining Education,
Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
About TUP Project:
The TUP (Targeting the Ultra Poor) project is to assist the ultra poor
to improve their livelihoods and bring about positive changes in achieving
economic, social and inspirational changes, and assist them to access
mainstream development services. Consequently, the TUP project has been
implemented as a part of BRAC’s holistic development approach geared toward
inclusion and to work towards achieving the sustainable development goals
(SDGs).
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
·        
Offer support and guidance to the field teams on
livelihoods value chain integration.
·        
Assist in the development of training materials
for various assets selected by project beneficiaries.
·        
Provide core technical support on various
implementation aspect of the programme
·        
Build networks with private and government
sectors on technical aspects of the project.
·        
Visiting target group youth to monitor their
progress and link them to available market opportunities.
·        
Keenly monitor and report on project activities
and ensure compliance with plan and BRAC standards.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The applicant for the BRAC International
Technical Specialist job placement must hold a Diploma in Agriculture, animal
production and management, veterinary or crop science.
·        
One year of experience in agribusiness
approaches with youth livelihood programs and poor communities
·        
Good training and facilitation skills.
·        
Good computer skills (MS office proficiency)
·        
Excellent report writing and analytical skills
·        
Ability to work independently work with minimal
supervision in a team setting s Ability to speak the local language (Luganda,
Luo or Swahili) will be an added advantage.
