About BRAC Uganda Health
Program:
BRAC’s health program trains, supervises and manages 4,075 community
Health Promoters (CHPs) focusing on provision of reproductive, maternal,
neonatal & child health care (RM- NCH), reducing vulnerability to
communicable diseases and improving nutrition.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
·        
Conduct field level staff and CHP Training
·        
Provide in-service supportive supervision at the
field level for CHPs & Project Assistants.
·        
Support plans for CHP & health staff service
delivery, Quality assurance and monitoring.
·        
Supervise and monitor activities of the health
team within community based EHC Including health education & awareness to
ensure quality and maximum use of the skills to their full potential &
effective participation at the community level.
·        
Work closely with government Health Centers and
District Health Officials to increase and strengthen the referral linkages as
needed
·        
Improve, build & maintain CHPs capacity,
visibility & ensure quality of the health services provided by them (CHPs).
·        
Uphold the health ethical values at all times.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The applicant for the BRAC International
Regional Health Trainer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health
related fields preferably Nursing, Community Health, Public Health &
Clinical Medicine with Public Health.
·        
A minimum of two years’ experience in Community
Health related work particularly with VHTs or related structures.
·        
Previous experience training community
structures in health related disciplines is added advantage.
·        
Extensive knowledge on health related programs.
·        
Mentorship and stewardship
·        
Good report writing skills
·        
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
