life most notably : one bedroom condominiums, two bedroom condominiums, richly

70M UGX. It shares a rich history of providing building materials to reputable
companies until recently when it re-branded into real estate development.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·        
Providing leadership to the Procurement and
Disposal Unit including:
·        
In charge of developing and managing the Units
Budget.
·        
Planning and setting annual targets for staff of
the Unit.
·        
Conducting performance evaluation.
·        
Submitting regular reports on the Unit to the
Company management team.
·        
Tasked with maintaining a list of prequalified
suppliers for a whole range of Company goods, services and works including:
·        
Initiating the recruitment and selection of
suppliers in accordance with Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets and
Regulations.
·        
Proposing evaluation Committees for the Contract
Committee’s approval.
·        
Communicating with suppliers in matters relating
to placement of orders and responding to their inquires.
·        
Maintaining procurement requirements for the
Company including:
·        
Liaising with Heads of User Departments and
Sections to determine their procurement requirements.
·        
Collating departmental procurement requirements
and compiling them into annual and quarterly procurement plans.
·        
Submitting quarterly procurement requirements to
Top management for approval.
·        
Work closely with User Departments to prepare
specifications, Terms of Reference and Scope of work.
·        
Preparing bid documents and recommending
procurement methods to Contracts Committee.
·        
Tasked with placing orders with suppliers
through use of LPOs.
·        
Receiving and opening bids, coordinating   the evaluation of bids and submitting
reports thereof to Contracts Committee.
·        
Ensuring that suppliers deliver goods, services
and works in accordance with specifications and terms of order.
·        
Receiving procurement documentation from user
departments, ensuring that it is properly complied and submitting it to the
Accounts department for processing.
·        
Ensuring that the necessary Company procurement
documentation is in place and properly utilized including:
·        
Providing timely advice to the Management, the
Contracts Committee and the User unit on all matters pertaining to procurement.
·        
Developing appropriate systems, procedures and
guidelines for the Procurement Unit.
·        
Submitting statutory and Management reports as
specified in the Procurement Regulations or as may be guided by the Management
Team.
·        
Managing the disposal of assets in accordance
with the law and regulations.
·        
Performing other duties as may become necessary
for the smooth running of the Unit.
Key Results Areas:
·        
Ensuring that procurement documentation is
properly compiled and utilised.
·        
Ensuring that suppliers and end users are
properly guided on procurement procedures.
·        
Ensuring that procurement requires of the
Company compiled on time.

 






Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or a related qualification. 
·        
A minimum of two years’ experience from a
reputable organisation.
