Responsibilities:
The ICT Support Administrator will provide
technical support and maintenance on PC hardware components, desktop operating
system software, and application software.
Provide first level support on office network
infrastructure and connectivity issues to ensure zero downtime.
Carry out minor repairs to equipment and arrange
for other servicing needs.
Keenly monitor antivirus software and updates on
the server and all company computers and make sure that all are up-to-date.
Monitor backup systems and procedures to ensure
data security.
Detect potential risks in hardware, software,
and networks and resolve them or make recommendations in time.
Work closely with the group IT team to ensure IT
policies and regulations are maintained.
Respond to user requests for service,
troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
Actively participate in developing recovery
plans for data or network availability and performing recovery when need
arises.
Learn how to use all in-house software
applications and hardware components and train other AUTHORISED users on the
same when need arises.
Learn how to administer in-house software
applications and ensure coordination with the respective software providers for
support
Carry out due diligence and Quality assurance of
all equipment purchased by the company and making recommendations where
necessary
Provide support in maintaining inventory records
and documentation of ICT equipment and manuals for software.
Participate in orientation of new staff in use
of ICT equipment and software applications
Develop and provide user training for new
hardware and software use.
Ensure that the servers, switches, Wireless
Routers, Firewalls, Printers, computer components and PABX system are all on
and functioning optimally.
Seek second level support from immediate
supervisor whenever challenged.
Maintain open communication and positive working
relationship with staff.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the BetIN Uganda ICT
Support Administrator job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information
Technology or Computer Science
One year of experience in performing repairs,
troubleshooting and preventative maintenance in workplace environment.
Microsoft Certifications are well considered.
Highly flexible and willing to work in a first paced
work environment
Excellent organizational skills, being able to
plan and manage multiple accounts simultaneously;
Good interpersonal skills; patient and
understanding with basic users;

a calm approach and investigating, diagnosing, and solving them;
