Evaluation and Learning Manager
(contract)
to promote and integrate entrepreneurial programs, active teaching and learning
in the formal and informal Education system in Uganda. It works through a
multi-sectoral approach, public private partnership (PPP) frameworks to provide
holistic programming, coordination and implementation of programs and
activities
Responsibilities:
The jobholder will be visiting schools to assess
implementation progress of project activities
Carrying out spot checks in schools
Pre-testing of data collection tools
Tasked with data collection (both quantitative
and qualitative)
Data coding, cleaning, validation and entry
Responsible for data analysis
Write and submit reports
Experience:
The
applicant must hold a BA Development Studies, Statistics, Social
Sciences or any other related degree from a recognized university or
institution of higher learning.
Possession
of a post graduate training in Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added
advantage
Previous
experience in working with young people, parents, teachers and government
structures.
Ability
to conduct qualitative and quantitative research
Fluent in local languages spoken in the three
districts (Jinja, Mukono and Wakiso) plus English
Excellent communication skills – both oral and
written
Good mobilisation and negotiations skills,
especially with rural people
Computer literacy skills i.e. knowledge (Ms
Access, Ms Word, Ms. Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent analytical skills
