supervise, monitor and control the business of Insurance in Uganda.
Officer will effectively and efficiently develop and implement the Authority’s
procurement and disposal Plan in accordance with the PPDA Act.
Responsibilities:
Identify sources of supply for the procurement
of goods, services and works required, and invite tenders or place orders as
necessary.
The jobholder will also follow-up orders placed
with suppliers to expedite the delivery of the required items.
Support the administration and user departments
to assess the suitability of the goods, services and works procured, and their
conformity to specifications and standards.
Ensure that the procurement process is carried
out in accordance with the appropriate policies, procedures and regulations
under the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act.
Maintain an up-to-date database on the existing
and potential sources for procurement of goods, services and works required by
the Authority.
Update the filing system in accordance with the
PPDA recommended format.
Coordinate the processing of tenders for supply
of goods or services or works and provide technical support and guidance to
management on procurement issues.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on
procurement activities accordingly.
Experience:
The applicants for the Insurance Regulatory
Authority of Uganda Procurement Officer jobs should hold bachelor’s degrees in
Procurement & Supply Chain Management or a post graduate diploma in
procurement
Professional qualification in Procurement
(Minimum of level four) of CIPS
At least three years of experience in public
procurement and disposal management
Computer knowledge and able to use Ms. Office
