Job Summary: The Desktop Publisher
(DTP) will timeously create or adapt creative executions for MTN Uganda’s
various still, digital or audio visual communication needs. The work will
entail interpreting briefs and executing of the various communication
requirements both for internal and external audiences. In others instances, the
resource will be required to work with MTN Uganda’s advertising agency to adapt
existing work to specific creative requirements and applications

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Receive and execute to the expectations of
briefs. This will also involve and require adaptation of creative material
to the specific design requirements as defined in the brief. - Creating and maintaining style guides and
visualization documents. - Perform the production of both digital and
offline assets for all campaigns including always on communication and
engagement requirements. Where material is outsourced (e.g. videos), the
designer shall supervise the production. - The jobholder will design digital
collateral for all assets (bought and owned) and where available as part
of campaigns, adapt from approved artwork from creative team. - Advise the rest of the team on the most
innovative digital translation and execution of the various communication
strategies. - Support the different agency and client
teams and participate in brainstorming sessions whenever called upon. - Cast for photo-shoots, keeping the brand
in mind, brief and supervise photographers and manage the production
process from a creative point of view. - Give the best possible innovative and
creative solutions, whilst still keeping true to the brand identity - For digital, designer should also be able
to design front-end mock-ups of the user interfaces and provide the
appropriate file formats to the backend developer/programmer. - Provide support in the ongoing development
of brand digital identity – including but not limited to updating designs
in accordance with best practice, brand changes, insight from test and
optimization, and updating digital identity website. - Present work in a logical and exciting
manner to make it easy for users to digest. - Define and provide material specifications
to guide production/execution - Timeously manage jobs and take
accountability for deadlines.

- The ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda
Desktop Publisher (DTP) job placement should have a minimum of three
years’ experience working in advertising agencies with both traditional
and digital design competencies - Ability to read and interpret both
strategic papers and briefs - Previous experience in dealing with
production houses including but not limited to print houses as well as TV
and audio production
