Job Summary: The Driver will
support the UNDP programme implementation through the provision of transport
services. The driver will facilitate the transport services as required to the
Environment, Climate and Disaster Resilience Team at the Country Office.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will be driving office
vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and visitors; and - Tasked with driving office vehicles for
the delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items; - Ensure cost-savings through proper use of
vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of
inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports; - Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of
the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major
repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc; - The UN Driver will ensure availability of
all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle
logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, and
necessary spare parts; - Ensure that all immediate actions required
by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant for the United Nations
UNDP Driver job placement must have completed secondary Education
(A-level). - Possess a clean and valid driver’s
license. - At least five years’ work experience as a
driver; safe driving record; knowledge of driving rules and regulations
and skills in minor vehicle repair. - Previous experience in city and up-country
driving - Personal Competencies: Excellent
interpersonal, skills and
demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility,
courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national
and cultural backgrounds
