Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- The Research Fellow will undertake
empirical economic analysis; - The jobholder will also contribute to
resource mobilization and engage in commissioned work for and on behalf of
the Centre; - Actively engage in commissioned work for
and on behalf of the Centre; - Based on research findings and sound
analysis, contribute to national policy discourse
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s
degree (by coursework and research) in Economics, Agricultural Economics
or other economics related field from a recognised University; - Recent graduates of doctoral degrees in
(a) will have an added advantage; - The applicant should have at least six years
of related working experience in relevant public or private sector
institutions three of which should be in policy-oriented work; - Extensive knowledge of, and ability to
apply modern economic theory and methods; - Excellent analytical skills;
- Knowledge of current global and national
economic issues; - Proven high level writing skills as
primary author in published research papers and reports; - Previous exposure and experience working
with large household survey data sets; - Demonstrated ability to use STATA,
E-Views, GAMS or GAUSS for data analysis; - Exceptional interpersonal skills and good
communication skills; - Self-motivation and capability to work
under tight deadlines in a competitive environment; - High degree of integrity.
- Age: Between 30 – 45 years
