Business Development

recruit in view of expansion, an experienced and high calibre professional for
the position of Regional Business Development Executive. The main objective for
IBL to create this position, based in the future regional office of the Group
in Nairobi, Kenya, is to develop and execute the strategy of the Group in East
Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential business partners that
fit the Group’s strategy and develop relationships with key targets, and
relationships to create awareness and visibility for IBL and its various
businesses; - Pursue, contact and participate in
negotiations with potential business partners; - Work closely with key Head Office business
sponsors and support services to drive business plan and projects; - The jobholder will define and prioritize
business projects and opportunities through constant interface with senior
management; - Develop business value propositions and
present business cases and execution plans to IBL Senior Management after
ensuring key hurdle rates are met and exhaustive risk assessment is
conducted.
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a degree or
preferably with a post graduate degree in Business Management/Strategy and
solid working experience in a senior level role; - At least seven to ten years of solid track
record in business development at Senior level; - Previous experience in IBL sectors working
environment would be an advantage; - Previous experience in Mergers &
Acquisitions would be a strong asset. - International experience and familiar with
East Africa Community (EAC); - Ability to be the IBL ambassador in East
Africa; - Self-motivated, highly reliable and
trustworthy profile with a positive and professional approach; - Can lead strategic initiatives with
passion and be driven by excellence; - Creative and fully autonomous business
leader coupled with strong inter-personal skills; - Strong communication and presentation
skills, as well as sales and negotiation skills; - Must be a self-starter with a track record
of working independently; - Strong networking skills.
