people in the developing world to be healthy by providing access to products
and services that range from mosquito nets to HIV testing.
Responsibilities: The Manager –
Supply Chain will be responsible for the following:
- Strategy: Develop, review and
monitor implementation of policies, systems and tools pertaining to SCM to
ensure that PSI obtains quality products and services in a timely, value-
for-money and cost-effective manner; - Planning and Quality Assurance:
Develop and track the SCM Performance Operational Management Plan (POMP)
to achieve PS! set goals within the departmental budget allocated Operations:
Coordinate the requisite departments at PSI to ensure that the purchasing
of aii inputs and production scheduling of PSI Uganda products are aligned
to meet the actual demand from the field in a timely manner. - People Management: Monitor and
provide regular feedback to the SCM team to aid their professional
development, performance and build a culture that has a high sense of
urgency, commitment to value-added services and a sense of accountability. - Risk Management: Identify,
register and monitor high-risk areas within SCM to mitigate financial,
operational and reputational risks.
Experience:
- The applicant must possess a Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration or related field; - Advanced Degree or CIPS an added
advantage; - At least seven years of management
experience, with three years in Supply Chain Management; - Previous experience with a donor funded
procurement or non-governmental organization is preferred. - Good analytical and planning skills to
establish supply requirements.
