non-government organization which was founded in 1986 by Ugandan mothers
committed to providing relief aid to needy children left parentless by the
civil turbulence of the mid-1980’s and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely closure of books of accounts
in preparation for the audit process. - Ensure prompt and effective accounting and
management of revenue/cash. - Establish, maintain & coordinate the
implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. - Manage subordinates & ensure a
competent |& motivated team.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s
Degree in Commerce (Finance & Accounting option), Business
Administration (Finance & Accounting option) or the equivalent. - Professional accounting certification for
level two ACCA, CPA is required. - At least three years of related working
experience in a similar post working with a reputable NGO. - Ability to use financial & accounting
software applications like Navision, SUN and Quick books. - Must exhibit a high degree of integrity.
