Job Summary:   The Project Officer, Education will
primarily be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and
implementing of education activities at community, sub county and district
level.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Save the
    Children Project Officer, Education job placement should hold a diploma in
    social Work, Social Administration, Education. Development Studies, Adult
    Education or any other related field, Additional qualification in a
    relevant field of study is an added advantage
  • A minimum of two years’ experience with
    good training skills (training of teachers) and understanding of community
    based projects particularly those addressing basic education
  • Previous exposure and experience working
    in a challenging environment, knowledge of local culture and fluency in
    English is a must



  • Extensive knowledge of child development
    aspects (physical, emotional, social, intellectual/cognitive.
  • Previous experience of working with local
    partners and District Local Government in Health, Education, HIV/AIDS or
    Child Protection program delivery
  • Ability to speak local language and
    directly interact with target group will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic
    planning abilities.
  • Availability and willingness to work extra
    hours during times of humanitarian responses.
