Job Summary: The Field
Accountant will mainly support Handicap International in the  management of accounts and cash flow, overseen
by the Administrative manager.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • The jobholder will be tasked with field
    accounts management for the Handicap International Arua office
  • Tasked with the preparation of the work
    entailed in closing the accounts within the timeframe fixed and in
    compliance with His procedures;
  • The Field Accountant will also ensure the
    correct management of the cash flow and cash box;
  • Ensure tax regulations and monthly
    filing/reporting are respected and implemented;
Others:
  • Participating to the weekly team meetings;
  • Ensure the strict application of the
    rules;
  • Report any incident in which s/he’s
    involved/witnessed immediately;



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Handicap International
    (HI) Field Accountant job opportunity must possess a professional diploma
    or University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics;
  • Professional qualification as a CMA/CPA is
    considered a plus;
  • One year of related experience in an NGO
  • Solid knowledge of financial and
    accounting procedures and principles;
  • Experience using financial software;
  • Knowledge of tax regulations in the
    country;
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills;
  • Good time management skills;
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage
    confidential data;
  • Ability to work under high pressure;
  • Excellent coordination skills;
  • Languages: Spoken and written
    English
  • Computer skills: Advanced MS
    Excel skills, MS Office (Word) and internet;
