Job Summary: The Database
Officer will support Handicap International by ensuring accurate, high quality
data on project activities is recorded and available.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • The Database Officer will ensure that the
    database is set up in a way to facilitate reporting on project activities
    and indicators
  • Enter data collected by the field teams
    into database
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of all data
  • Assist MEAL supervisor in extracting data
    for reporting purposes
  • Tasked with ensuring confidentiality of
    the data management
  • Participate in the weekly team meetings;
  • Ensure the strict application of the
    rules;
  • Report any incident in which s/he’s
    involved/witnessed immediately;



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Handicap
    International (HI) Database Officer job opportunity should preferably hold
    a qualification in computer-related studies
  • One year of experience with databases
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Highly motivated, dynamic; able and
    willing to take initiative
  • Time and work management skills
  • Autonomous and takes the initiative
  • Computer Skills with proficiency in MS
    Office (Word, Excel) and internet
  • Languages: Spoken and written
    English
