Administration Officer
is established under the PPDA Act No.1 of 2003 to develop standards and
regulate procurement and disposal practices in respect of all Procuring and
Disposing Entities which include Central Government Ministries and Departments,
Local Governments, State Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and
post primary training institutions.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily checks on vehicles by
ensuring that they are in good working condition; recording any problems
requiring future action in the vehicle check list - Carry out minor maintenance (e.g. filling
oil, water and air) before vehicles are driven. - Tasked with requesting for vehicle
maintenance and entering items that have been noted on the vehicle check
list onto the repair requisition form. - Taking vehicles to the garage, drawing
attention to the necessary repairs or the type of routine maintenance
required; receiving quotations and checking their appropriateness. - Following up to ensure that work is done
on time; inspecting vehicles after repair or maintenance work has been
completed to ensure that repairs are completed satisfactorily to the
required standard. - Tasked with maintaining the service record
for vehicles, generating summary reports as requested by the
Administration Officer; highlighting any problems or concerns and making
recommendations for action required. - Tasked with ensuring that the destination,
expected timings and any tasks to be accomplished are clear; planning a
route that will accomplish all activities in the most cost-effective
fashion and follow procedures that ensure safe and secure night time
driving. - In charge of driving vehicles carefully
and safely in accordance with the traffic laws of Uganda and PPDA
procedures. - Giving attention to the physical wellbeing
of passengers, providing comfort breaks and other assistance as required;
at all times treating passengers with courtesy and friendliness. - Contacting the Senior Administration
Officer in order to give progress reports. - Compiling the monthly summary journey log
for all. - Giving attention to personal appearance
and cleanliness in order to project a good corporate image. - At all times acting courteously towards
others and according to the standards of behavior laid out in the human
resource manual. - Taking the initiative to be helpful to
PPDA customers who come into contact. - Tasked with transporting staff when they
travel.
Experience:

level Certificate - Hold
a clean and valid Driving Permit with classes B, DL, - A minimum of four years’ experience in a reputable organization.
