About USAID BETTER OUTCOMES
PROJECT:
THETA -Uganda in collaboration with World Education Inc. / Bantwana
(WEI/B) the financial support from USAID are implementing a BETTER OUTCOMES
PROJECT for Children and Youth in Eastern and Northern Uganda. The purpose of
the project is to improve access to comprehensive services across the continuum
of HIV care and to help vulnerable children and care givers prevent and respond
to HIV, violence and other adversities that impact child wellbeing in Northern
Uganda, including the District of Lira, Dokolo, and Kole.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Train and supervise SINOVUYO facilitators
  • Actively participate in mapping of the Hot
    Spots
  • Conduct Quarterly intergenerational out
    reaches
  • Support VSLA+ and Youth Groups to deliver
    parenting sessions
  • Establish ECD Groups
  • Manage and lead implementation of
    Parenting and ECD activities
  • Supervise SINOVUYO sessions
  • Document and follow up parenting and ECD
    best practices.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the USAID Project Technical
    Officer Early Child Development/ Parenting job placement must hold a
    Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Development, Education, development
    studies, Social science or related fields
  • At least three years’ experience in OVC
    Programming that target vulnerable communities mainly orphans and vulnerable
    children and households
