Job Summary: The Video Editor will edit in-house videos and audio material for news programmes, local
programmmes, commercials, documentaries, features and promos within set
deadlines. The job entails editing video and audio material to the highest quality to entertain, inform, educate and increase television viewers.

Responsibilities:

- Receive video and audio materials on tapes
from Reporters and Producers and preview material received to ascertain
the quality - Piece together the pictures and sound of
material received to tell the story by enhancing the quality of the
programme with appealing music, visual and sound effects - Ensure that the programme is of the
required time and duration without distorting the message - Recording/downloading news clips and
programmes on tapes for the transmission desk to be aired within set
deadlines
Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Professional Diploma in Film & Video
Production - Three or more years of practical work
experience in a TV station or a Production House - Proficiency in Final Cut editing software is mandatory
- Multilingual Subtitling
programming capability - Ability to work long and odd hours in a
fast paced environment
