About Us:
The Belgian NGO “Iles de Paix” (IDP) was founded 50 years ago by
Dominique Pire (Nobel peace prize). The association facilitates rural
development though the promotion of sustainable family farming.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Assist
    the country director to oversee the technical aspects of current and
    future programs
  • Support
    to partners in mastering all aspects of agricultural production techniques
    and designing a methodological framework for action research
  • With
    the support of the country director or at his request, representation of
    IDP



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a University-level degree in direct
    relation with agriculture. Possession of a Post-graduate or masters’
    degree in relevant field will be an added advantage
  • At
    least three years’ experience in development projects promoting
    sustainable agriculture
  • Previous
    experience in supporting peasant innovation processes
  • Personal
    interest in the agro-ecological approach
  • Computer
    literacy i.e. knowledge of common computer software Word, Excel
