Manager
nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that provides humanitarian assistance and
training to millions of beneficiaries around the world. The ARC seeks to
promote peaceful and safe communities where men and women have equal rights and
communities can access locally owned, high-quality services.
Counsellor will be responsible for ensuring overall quality of psychosocial
support including referrals for GBV survivors. The incumbent will also ensure
local community partners are trained and continuing mentoring of partners
specifically related to supporting GBV survivors and communities within the
settlement.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the American
Refugee Committee (ARC) International SBGV Counsellor job opportunity must
hold a University degree in Social Sciences, Community Psychology, and /
or Social Work. - Hold a certificate in Counseling.
- At least three years of related working
experience in GBV issues with an INGO - Broad knowledge and understanding of the
local population and language is an added advantage - Excellent computer, writing and
communication skills, including proven report writing skills. - Motorbike riding experience and license
desired is added advantage.
