Coordinator
non-government organization (NGO) which was founded in 1986 by Ugandan mothers
committed to providing relief aid to needy children left parentless by the
civil turbulence of the mid-1980’s and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
Responsibilities:
- The Project Officer will mainly ensure
implementation of projects in the region according to donor
specifications, organisation policies and procedures. - Tasked with periodic reporting on progress
of activities in the region. - Conduct advocacy and resource mobilization
activities in order to increase support of the organization in improving
the quality of service of the projects. - Ensure the implementation of projects
according to set targets and specifications. - Build the capacity of different
stakeholders to respond to OVC issues.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Community Psychology, Social Work and Social Administration,
Business Administration, Project Planning & Management or any other
related field. - At least three years’ experience working
with community-based projects. - Previous exposure and experience in
Monitoring and supervision of the project team. - Knowledge of social economic strengthening
environment. - Broad knowledge and understanding of OVC
programming is required. - Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle
(Valid riding permit) - Willing to reside within the area of
jurisdiction after appointment - Age: Above 30 years
