ETOP Radio
Publishing Company Limited (NVPPCL), started business in March 1986. It is a
multimedia business housing newspaper, magazines, internet publishing,
television, radio broadcasting, commercial printing, advertising and
distribution services. NVPPCL is listed on the Uganda Stock Exchange, with an
expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY 2010/2011).
Controller ETOP Radio will ensure that presenters deliver shows that are
appealing to the target audience by effectively producing radio shows that grow
audiences and generate revenue.
Responsibilities:

- Tasked with researching on current
events/affairs relevant to the target audience. - Creating saleable segments for the
respective shows. - Preparing and writing scripts that will
guide the presenters. - Prepping the presenters before going on
air. - Conducting daily on air review of the
shows. - Conducting on air interviews with clients.

- Tasked with researching on relevant
educative topics. - Drawing the show script.
- Rehearsing for on air delivery.
- Where applicable gather content e.g. vox
pox, interviews. - Identify, prep and host guest on the show
where applicable.

- Supervising performance of presenters on a
daily. - Holding weekly programming review
meetings. - Submitting weekly programming reports to
the station manager. - Holding monthly one on one meetings with
presenters.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Vision Group
Programme Controller ETOP Radio job placement must hold a Diploma in Mass
Communication/Journalism. - Three years’ experience in a competitive
Radio content development environment - Previous experience in other broadcast
content development environment is an added advantage - Have a good eye for saleable content.
- Broadcast software; cool edit, adobe
audition, imediatouch, jazzier, RCS, news boss. - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient
in the use of Microsoft packages. - Proficient in written and spoken Luganda
and English. - Basic knowledge of broadcast equipment.
- Hosting/on air delivery – added advantage.
- Excellent Leadership/people management
skills. - High degree of integrity.
- Excellent communicational, organizational,
analytical and planning skills. - Results oriented.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Quick decision making and judgment.
- Work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
