• Keenly monitor petroleum operations
  undertaken by oil companies
• Manage the acquisition and quality control
  of geological data;
• Keenly review and advise on geological
  well proposals submitted by operators
• Take part in the relevant geological data
  to be acquired in the licensed areas.
• Conduct relevant research in geological
  data processing and interpretation;
• Supervise geological data acquisition and
  processing
• The incumbent ensures that all geological
  data approved at ACM is acquired by the companies;
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and
  yearly reports on compliance of Exploration companies;




• Perform any other duties assigned by the
  supervisor

• The ideal candidate for the Petroleum
  Authority of Uganda (PAU) Geologist (Operations and Compliance) job
  opportunity must possess a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Petroleum
  Geoscience or Geology from an internationally recognized institution
• At least three years’ relevant working
  experience in the oil and gas sector, in a busy and well-organized
  institution
• Good knowledge of the oil and gas
  policies, laws, regulations and guidelines regarding petroleum exploration
  in Uganda
• Proven supervisory skills in the field as
  well as in an office-based environment
• The applicant should preferably hold a
  Master’s degree in petroleum geoscience from an internationally recognized
  University.
• A relevant working experience in the oil
  and gas sector, in a busy and well-organized institution
• An internationally recognized professional
  qualification or membership of an internationally recognized professional
  body in the areas of oil and gas.
• Highly innovative and with a proven high
  level of integrity.
• Ability to work independently and in a
  team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication
  skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Computer literacy skills
