(administrative) and Donor Accountant
non-government organization which was founded in 1986 by Ugandan mothers
committed to providing relief aid to needy children left parentless by the
civil turbulence of the mid-1980’s and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely requisition of funds, make
payments, documentation and proper accountability at the region. - The incumbent will also ensure safety and
regular repair and maintenance of the assets. - Prepare timely financial management
reports of regional activities. - Capture data at the regions to enable
donor reporting. - Mentor and line manage support staff.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in any of the following: Accounting and Finance, Bachelors of
Commerce, Business Administration/ Finance or Accounting. - Professional accounting certification i.e.
ACCA /CPA certification is an added advantage. - At least two years’ experience working
with community-based projects serving in the similar position. - Knowledge of accounting packages like
Navision, quick books and SUN is a must. - Willingness to reside in the area of
jurisdiction.
