About US:
National Medical Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was
established by an Act of Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and
distribute medicines and other medical supplies to public health facilities in
Uganda.
Job Summary: The Sales
Assistant –Laboratory will carry out counter sales of medical supplies and
drugs at National Medical Stores (NMS)
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The Sales & Marketing Officer will be
    receiving customer laboratory orders and initiating order processing in
    line with set procedures
  • Handling technical customer inquiries to
    customer satisfaction according to pharmaceuticals standards of selling
    drugs and NMS procedures
  • In charge of monitoring consumption rate
    versus shelf life of stock in accordance with NMS sales procedure
  • Tasked with matching customer needs with
    available stock including advising customers on probable alternatives
  • The jobholder will also be preparing sales
    monthly reports in line with the sales and marketing plan
  • Identify any risk(s) noted during the
    course of execution of your duties and formally report to your immediate
    supervisor



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant for the National Medical
    Stores (NMS) Sales & Marketing Officer career job should hold a Diploma
    in Biomedical Laboratory Technology or Diploma in Medical Laboratory
    technology
  • Additional training in Customer Service is
    an added advantage
  • At least two years of related working
    experience
  • Computer literacy skills
