Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE)

Institution that brings together all Professional Engineers in Uganda. It was
constituted to promote the general advancement of the science and practice of
engineering in Uganda.
Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of membership
information dissemination.
Responsibilities:
- Tasked with updating the website and other
online platforms; - Updating professional credit points earned
by members; - Responsible for the publication of the
newsletter in collaboration with MSM. - Managing all enquiries about our
information and advice service by phone, email, social media and drop-ins.
- Maintaining and updating membership
information - Representing the Institution at
information stands, seminars, conferences. - Actively engaging in partnership and
collaborative work with other organizations as directed. - Developing, maintaining and overseeing
efficient office systems including mailings, updating of UIPE membership
database and data recording. - Daily review of newspapers and social
media for articles about or related to engineers and the engineering
sector - Offering administrative support for
existing staff, projects and future projects. - Operating at all times according to
current UIPE guidelines and procedures.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or related field - A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar
position - Show interest and self-drive
- Broad working knowledge of information
sharing - High degree of adoptability
