Responsibilities:
- Prepare
lunch and dinner on time; - Buy
fresh quality food every day guaranteeing correct market prices; - Keep an accounts book on the market
expenses; - Wash
dishes; - Clean
the kitchen and the kitchen utensils; - Ensure
the purchase of the food in coordination with the secretary; - Inform
the logistics team when the gas bottles are empty;
- Clean
all rooms on a daily basis with appropriate cleaning materials as well as
polishing the furniture and emptying the waste bins. - Dispose
of garbage on a daily basis; - Clean
bathrooms and toilets on a daily basis; - Arrange
beds on a daily basis; - Ensure
provision of cleaning material in coordination with Logistics - Change
and wash bed sheets on a weekly basis - Wash
expatriate clothes whenever necessary
- Keep
an inventory of stock supplies and ensure these supplies are well
stocked. - Replenishing
supplies such as soap, hand wash and Toilet paper in the washrooms
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the ACTED Area Housekeeper
job placement must hold an O’ level certificate with Post secondary Education or Diploma. - Flexible
approach to work - Ability
to use initiative - Ability
to read and understand English. - Excellent
interpersonal skills - High
degree of flexibility and adaptability - Language Skills: Fluency in English and Madi is required
