Manager
political and non-confessional international NGO founded in 1993 and
headquartered in Paris, France. The
organization’s vocation is to save lives, assist vulnerable populations and
bring hope to those in need for a better future.
Officer will directly assist the project officer and ensure implementation of
activities in time and also assist the programme manager in managing the work
schedule and direct implementation of activities.
Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly planning meetings with
logistics, finance and Programme to develop work plans and corresponding
budgets, to support procurement and payments approvals process. - Work closely with the Programme Officer
and Programme Manager to develop movement schedules, UNDP activities,
training, and distribution work plans, budgetary and BOQ requirements for
implementation and procurement. - Liaise directly with AMEU officer in development of BOQs and weekly work
plans, to communicate back to the Programme Manager.
- Coordinate with Enumerators , AMEU
officers and staff of other ongoing projects to ensure operational
efficiency and mitigation of resource duplication. - Work closely with the Programme Officer to
identify programmatic challenges, opportunities and progress, and report
back to the Programme Manager on a weekly basis - Conduct site visits and liaise with local
actors to support AMEU officer in ensuring stakeholder buy-in. - Take lead in beneficiary selection process
through collection of vulnerability data, and feed back to Programme
Officer to support development of beneficiary lists and database
- Support Programme Officer in maintenance
of files for all relevant implementation documentation for all ongoing
projects, including but not limited to attendance, payment, and
distribution lists. - Support Programme Manager in development
of monthly implementation reports
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the ACTED Field
Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in social sciences, Humanities, community and development studies
or a related degree from a recognized University. - A
minimum of three years’ experience and sound knowledge in Livelihoods and
promotion of Rights of vulnerable groups with a reputable organization. - Good
team player with a capability to work with people in such a manner
as to build high morale and group commitment to objectives. - Ability
to travel and work under pressure - Excellent
communication skills including ability to clearly document and present
information through oral and written means. - High
degree of flexibility and adaptability - Language Skills: Fluency in English and Madi is required
