expertise to eliminate poverty in the world. BTC contributes to the efforts of
the international community and works towards a society that provides present
and future generations with sufficient resources to build a sustainable and
fair world. BTC currently supports more than 200 cooperation projects and
programmes in 18 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In the future,
BTC’s efforts will focus on 14 partner countries as a result of a decision made
by the Minister of Development Cooperation.
& Sports to implement the Skilling Uganda (SSU) Project.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up of the project’s monitoring
framework following BTC’s guidelines; - Provide support in monitoring and supervision
of the selected SDF partners & third party implemented; - Compile regular SDF progress& activity
reports and compile lessons learned from SDF supported activities; - Support gender sensitive social
disaggregated monitoring of project, including tracer studies of SDF other
project beneficiaries; - The incumbent will also ensure monitoring
of the project’s M&E matrix, including mainstreaming and
disaggregation of data on gender& social background in regular project
progress; - Support the setting up of a knowledge
sharing platform for gender sensitive& social targeting in BTVET
provision
- Set up the framework for gender and social
targeting for the relevant project’s components; - Steer the gender mainstreaming approach
and gender audit of the project; - Actively contribute to the development j
of gender& vulnerable youth eligibility and selection criteria in the
framework of the Skills Development Fund to (a) facilitate active
promotion of specific groups of concern through dedicated target windows
of the SDF (b) monitor impact on refugees and host communities in Northern
Uganda; - Ensure gender and social sensitive labour
market information gathering for refugees and host communities; - Work closely with relevant M&E
components of the EU Emergency Trust Fund, through Quarterly Coordination
Mechanism, gender and social working groups; - Actively contribute to the mainstreaming
of other cross cutting issues of the project, including disability,
environment, and HIV-AIDS mainstreaming;
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
University Degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics - A minimum of five years of proven,
relevant experience in Gender Mainstreaming and/or Social Targeting - Five years of proven, relevant experience
in Monitoring and Evaluation; - Previous experience in facilitating the
cooperation between BTVET
institutions & private sector - Previous exposure and experience working
with/in the private sector would be an added advantage. - Excellent reporting skills writing and
team building skills; - Excellent ICT skills in word, Excel, power
point and internet;
