Responsibilities:
- Transport
persons and goods as requested by ACTED; - During
the entire working time the driver has to be available to ensure all goods
and personal transportation required by ACTED; - Every
morning, the driver has to verify the oil level, cooling liquid, and the
tire pressure; - Every
week, he has to verify the water level and battery status; - Correctly
fill in and update the logbook; - Keep
driving license and car papers valid and ready for inspection; - Inform
the supervisor immediately in case of damage/accident/technical failure
to the car; - When
ordered by supervisor, refill the car according to ACTED procedures; - Refill
the car whenever necessary or when the level gets under half of the tank
capacity; - Help
loading and unloading the car; - Provided
technical maintenance of the vehicle; - Adjust
vehicle speed to road conditions and drive with consideration for the
safety of the passengers and other road users. - Ensure
that the following items are always in the car: logbook, tools and spare
parts, complete first aid kit and two spare wheels in good
condition. - Look
for and follow up on Quotations as and when needed.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the ACTED Area Driver
job placement must hold an A’ level certificate with post secondary Education or Diploma. - At
least three years’ experience with an NGO - Possess
a clean valid driving permit - Excellent
communication skills (both spoken and written) - Good
ream spirit - High
degree of flexibility and adaptability - Age: Between 30 and 40 years
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Madi is required
