Job Summary: The Credit
Manager will provide support and leadership in strengthening Uganda’s credit
metrics. The incumbent will also monitor the company’s key credit metrics while
constantly coming up with initiatives to improvement them. The Credit Manager
will liaise with the Kenya’s credit team to standardize practices already
established, as well as customize initiatives to fit the Ugandan market.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Establish communication with Credit team
    regarding all Credit related matters, and where relevant, enforce
    company-wide credit standards set by the credit team
  • Ensure that all initiatives that are
    intended to improve the company’s performance have considered the credit
    impact before deployment
  • Keenly monitor the Company’s credit
    metrics and propose initiatives intended to improve  the credit metrics
  • The incumbent will design, monitor and
    report on critical initiatives that are intended to improve the company’s
    credit metrics
  • Provide guidance and review to all teams
    that implement proposed initiatives intended to improve the company’s
    credit metrics
  • Manage pilots and special projects that
    are credit related in Uganda



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a
    quantitative degree in computer science, economics, engineering,
    mathematics, statistics or an equivalent. A social science degree with
    intensive data analysis content will also be considered
  • Previous experience using data analytics
  • Extensive knowledge and working experience
    in SQL, Relational Databases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for
    analysis, and PowerPoint use for communication
  • Previous experience in leading a team
    through intensive projects
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data with
    high accuracy and focus levels
  • Ability to influence management decisions
  • Possess a creative/innovative approach to
    problem solving
  • Good business sense and commercial
    awareness
  • Broad interest and open-mindedness to
    learn and explore new ideas on how to improve credit metrics.
