Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- The Communications Manager will oversee
the information flow and knowledge transfer among the various teams and
programs. - Represent BRAC Uganda to other external
parties and guide the Country Representative. - Support communication flows with BRAC
International Head Office and other BRAC Offices. - Build and maintain liaison with existing
and potential partners within Uganda. - Organize visits and events.
- The jobholder will also identify potential
areas of interventions in line with the strategic objective and integrated
approach of BRAC Uganda. - Identify resource potentials within Uganda
for existing and new areas of intervention. - Develop and write Project Proposals for
various interventions and respond to various funding opportunities. - Develop and manage external communications
within and beyond Uganda through newsletters, blogs, newspaper articles,
diary and editing all the electronic documents.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant for the BRAC International
Communications Manager must hold a Master’s degree in Communications
management or a related field - At least five years’ experience in
communication or related field. - Good knowledge of TOR and MOU writing and
analytical skills. - Excellent computer skills with excellent
reporting skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. - Proficiency in Mac OS and Windows OS,
video editing applications, mapping applications, desktop publishing
software, online applications and online social networks. - Good planning and organizing skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel and
should be sensitive about other cultures, countries and people. - Skilled operator of professional film and
video equipment. - Detail oriented proof reader and editor.
