Job Summary: The
Communication, PR and Advocacy Officer scans the social environment to identify
issues in society that can affect Baylor’s mission in supported regions and
come up with advocacy related interventions. The incumbent will implement and
evaluate Baylor’s advocacy interventions, document success then communicate key
issues to the key stakeholders in line with Baylor Uganda advocacy and
communications policy.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Build strong alliances and networks with
public and private partner organizations for concerted advocacy efforts
and greater participation in policy dialogue, - Conduct Photograph activities, Video
recording, editing, production of documentaries, their safe
storage/archiving as well as do documentation and share experiences
arising from advocacy - Maintain an updated resource centre that
will also be a reference point for both analogue and digital information
about Baylor-Uganda, its partners and stakeholders - Build the capacity of Baylor-Uganda staff
in advocacy, partnering and networking as per the identified needs - Provide support to other departments and
units in organising events, exhibitions, guided tours and offer protocol
duties during VIP visits - Draft minutes, press advisories,
supplements, advertorials and branding , Generate strategies to develop
the Baylor Brand in the public view - The incumbent will also manage and update
the social media platforms, notably website, Facebook, twitter and
Instagram - Develop an operational activity plan, and
budget for Advocacy and communications issues

Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Baylor Uganda
Communication, PR and Advocacy Officer job opportunity should hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication (Public Relations /Media
Communication). - Possession of a relevant post graduate
qualification in Communication is an added advantage. - A minimum of three years’ experience in a
reputable Organization - Good team and communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good networking and partnership
skills. - Highly dynamic
- Persuasive and convincing
- Highly self- motivated
