training to millions of beneficiaries around the world. The ARC seeks to
promote peaceful and safe communities where men and women have equal rights and
communities can access locally owned, high-quality services.
Protection Officer will be mainly responsible for monitoring the welfare of Un-Accompanied Minors (UAMs) / Separated Children (SC) and other children at risk;
provide psychosocial support (Child Friendly information and Counseling) to
UAMS/SC and other children at risk, and monitor community structures on child
protection.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the American
Refugee Committee (ARC) International Child Protection Officer job
opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Social Sciences,
Community Psychology, Adult and Community Education and Development
studies. - At least three years’ experience in
working on Child Protection issues with an INGO - Excellent report writing, communication
and analytical skills. - Strong computer skills
- Extensive knowledge of the local
population and language is an added advantage - Motorbike riding experience and license
desired is added advantage.
