part of the response and in particularly to coordinate teams analysing and
responding to needs emerging due to 1) the current drought and food crisis and
2) displacement of thousands of South Sudanese, fleeing the conflict in their
country and seeking refuge in Northern Uganda.
Manager will primarily be responsible for all Handicap International’s administrative
processes (Finances, Human Resources, and Accounting), rules and deadlines and
the follow up of Handicap International standards.
Responsibilities:
- Tasked with ensuring administrative
processes are un place and implemented according to HI policies - Ensuring continued proper management of
finances, accounts and cash flow in compliance with internal procedures - In charge of ensuring equitable treatment
of staff and efficient HR management in support of the field office - Developing the team’s autonomy and
performance - Ensuring HI’s presence is secure from a
legal standpoint - Participating at the weekly team
coordination meetings; - Participating in the Arua programs
strategy planning; - Ensure the strict application of the
rules; - Report any incident in which s/he’s
involved immediately;
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Handicap
International Administrative Manager job opportunity must hold a professional
diploma or university degree in Business Administration or relative field. - One year of experience in a similar
position - Previous experience with an NGO would be
an asset - Previous experience in emergency response
is appreciated - Computer literacy i.e. IT knowledge
(hardware and software, Microsoft Office, Internet) - Knowledge of international humanitarian
response and development work - Knowledge of donors
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to work in an inter cultural
environment - Flexibility Responsive, motivated, good
communicator - Ability to work under pressure
- Management skills
- Personal qualities
- Calm, structured, organized.
