Responsibilities:
- Tasked with driving to assigned
destinations. - In charge of the maintenance in a cost
effective and efficient manner and repair as required. - Conduct daily assessment of the vehicle to
maintain the highest level of standards. - Responsible for monitoring and prompt
reporting of damage or malfunction of the vehicle to the Officer in charge
of transport. - Maintaining and updating the Vehicle log
book all the time. - Keeping the assigned vehicle clean at all
times and carrying out regular checks for validity of insurance and first
Aid contents - Perform any other duties that may be
assigned from time to time by the supervisor or a competent authority.
Experience:
- The applicant for the Driver job must hold
a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a pass in English.
Possession of a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) is an
added advantage. - Possess a valid driving permit with
Classes B, CH and DL. - Hold a Certificate in Defensive Driving or
basic mechanical engineering qualification is an added advantage. - At least five years’ experience of driving
and maintaining vehicles in the Public Sector or similar organization. - Impeccable level of integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal, team building and
communication skills. - Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Kiswahili is an added
advantage. - Confidentiality, Diligence and Reliability.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Age: Between 25-45 years old
