in Uganda and a subsidiary of CCBA, the largest bottler in Africa.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Ensure stock management is conducted in
    line with company processes
  • Ensure quality and delivery objectives are
    met as determined by distribution
  • Ensure health, safety, cleanliness and
    security of the work environment
  • Ensure planned maintenance of the
    vehicles, machinery and equipment is overseen
  • Formulate strategies to minimize breakages
    and missing stock are implemented effectively
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are
    designed and implemented
  • Ensure standard warehouse processes and
    procedures are documented and enforced
  • Ensure warehouse performance measures /
    KPI’s are in place, monitored and corrective action taken if required
  • Ensure non-conforming stock (ullages) are
    quarantined and managed according to procedure
  • Ensure all relevant departmental costs in
    relation to manning, training and development, maintenance, breakages,
    etc. identified for budget purposes
  • Determine budgets and forecasts and
    control budget expenditure
  • Analyze, monitor, graph and respond to
    operational performance measures in warehouse
  • Perform any other duties assigned from
    time to time
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold
    a University Degree preferably in logistics or business related area.
  • At least three years’ experience in an
    operations / finance environment at management level ideally in FMCG or
    beer industry
  • Commercial competence
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse
    processes, costs, optimization solutions
  • Broad knowledge of distributors’
    environment in allocated area
  • Budgeting and process techniques know-how
  • Disciplined and dynamic Team Player with
    ability to communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated and should be able to work
    in shifts.
