About Program:
Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the
humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub-region.
Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and
Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local
partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response
capacity within the organisations.
Job Summary: The Supply
& Logistics Officer will primarily oversee the daily running of the Supply
and logistics unit, ensuring that all operations are carried out according to
Oxfam policy and procedures; perform tendering and contract tasks, maintain and
update the Oxfam supplier and consultant databases, observe our ethical
procurement and supply policy and ensure suppliers are selected in accordance
with the policy. The jobholder handles all office procurements in a proactive
manner or according to specific requests to ensure quick follow up especially
for emergency response requests. The incumbent may also handle transport and
Fleet supervising the work of the drivers to ensure proper vehicle allocations,
tracking of vehicle related costs inclusive of monitoring
maintenance/repair/service schedules and fuel from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Oxfam Supply
    & Logistics Officer career placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
    a relevant field
  • Previous exposure and experience
    preferably with a non-profit organization
