Commissioner/ Vocational Education

out its functions, authority and autonomy in implementing its mandate. The
vision of Education Service Commission is to see “quality education delivered
by efficient and effective education service personnel.”
Education/ Vocational Education will provide technical support to education and
training institutions on matters of policy and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Guide on development of an operational
Policy framework, strategies and guidelines for vocationalisation of
Education at all levels; - Co-ordinate, initiate and liaise with
National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) in the development of
vocational curricula; - Co-ordinate, initiate and liaise with
National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) in the development of
vocational curricula; - Initiate and co-ordinate development of
vocational training policies and programmes; - Work closely with specialised agencies and
bodies for the designing and development of training programmes and
management of vocational Education, in specialised training institutions; - Render support in establishing and
maintaining of linkages with the Private Sector and other stakeholders in
the vocationalisation of Education;
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Education/ Vocational or Technical or Health related
field; - Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in
Management or Technical related field; - Registered with the Ministry of Education
and Sports or relevant Professional Body; - A minimum of six (6) years working
experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior
Officer in the field of Education.
